Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - murky brown with an off-white creamy head. Nose - woody, light oxidised and treacle. Taste - candied orange and caramel. Again oxidised and general dried fruit. Palate - medium bodied, creamy texture. Dry, woody and oxidised finish. Overall - interesting.

Pours cloudy dark brownish to amber with a short-lived head. Aroma is intense: honey, caramel, crème brulée, molasses, dates, walnut, almond and redcurrant. Wow. Mouthfeel is creamy, sweetish, fresh and full-bodied. Not bitter but quite smoky finish. Very nice.

33 cl Oloroso cask ed. bottle served in Leffe chalice. Pours cloudy dark amber-brown with low-lasting, no-lacing head. Aroma is intense: deep scents of honey accompanied by redcurrant, butterscotch, dates, walnut, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, almond. Complex and rich nose. Creamy, slightly sweet, nice acidity, full-bodied. Not very bitter long finish with nice metallic flavours and a toast and candy reminiscence. It’s not easy to find such a nice dubbel outside Belgium.
