Drunk watching Kaos after lots of research about guitar pedal boards. Dark brown, creamy tan head. Nose is instant whisky malt with nice peaty overtones, lightly sweet. Flavor is smooth, sweet, a tongue-punch of whisky. Full smooth bitterness balances the sugars. Wow, this is great - going to let it warm up to get the full effect!

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is full of peated whiskey barrels, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is full of peat, with the Belgian yeast taking a backseat; there's some dark dried fruit and toasted caramel, but the sweetness is very low, seemingly eaten by the peat. Maybe not the most complex Belgian strong out there, but the peat character really helps this along. Tasty.

On tap at Borefts. Pours a dark mahogany with moderate nitro head. Aromas of smoky peat and stoned fruit muted by nitro. Flavors follow same with additional dry wheaty malts. Interesting.

Dark mahogany color and a huge tan head. Nose is smokey, roasted malts, hints of plum and rum-raisins. Taste starts with a sweet-malty taste, followed by intense peated flavors. Dried fruits and smoke at finish.

BBE 04/2020;One year and a half in my cellar;Gusher but luckily manageable with minimal beer loss;initially strong peat on the nose, but after a while in the glass smooths out & gives room to the base beer;mild caramel & notes of dry fruits (raisin, date)
