650 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG III. Thanks to Benzai! Hazy amber. Very bitter pine resin the nose, faint caramel & apple. Very bitter & dry pine resin taste, hay, touch exotic fruits, apple, thicker body, very lingering bitterness. Not bad but far too harsh for me.

Very hazy amber beer, small bubbly pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Smooth malt, touch of cream. Spicy pine hops balanced by sweet friuts, lesser tropical fruits underneath. Dry aniseed alcohol. Smooth dry finish. A mild marmalade bitter linger. Tasty if just a little rough in places.

13.06.2014, 0,65l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange resiny, thinner, pine needles, caramel malts, alcohol, old leafs, harsh hops, bark, sap, soil, citrus peel. Taste is kind of harsh foresty, old leafs, forest floor, pine needles, sap, bark, citrus peel, harsh hops, thinner, caramel malts, alcohol. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

650ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney, hoppy aroma, caramel malty basis, some biscuit, herbal-woody hints instead of expectable fruitiness. Taste is harsh, biting bitter hoppy, initially mastered by a caramel malty basis that eventually turns out to be too week, resulting in bitter almond notes, which on the other hand cut an alley through everything potentially around or concomitant. Clearly overdone.

Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Hazy orange color, medium sized white head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, hops, resinous, pine spruce. Taste heavy malty, hops, resin, very bitter, spruce. Lovely bitter, lots of hops. Medium to full body and carbonation. Nice!

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/4/2013. Pours fairly crystal clear orange amber color with a 2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big peach, pineapple, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, honey, bread, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity of citrus/tropical hop notes with moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of peach, pineapple, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, honey, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, pineapple, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest/rind, floral, grass, pine, honey, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of tropical/citrus hop flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a crisp, sticky, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice DIPA style. All around good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hop flavors with moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
