(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of coffee, caramel, wood, dried fruit, orange peel, molasses, vanilla and a touch of cardamom. Malty taste with coffee, caramel, wood, orange peel, brown sugar, cardamom, vanilla and a sweetish finish with a mild coffee bitterness. Medium body, sweet. Unbalanced, too sweet and a bit artificial. Still, fairly tasty and enjoyable.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark amber with a beige head. Very complex aroma, a blend of Xmas spices and coffee. Rich and very sweet body, sticky sweet with heavy, ashy coffee notes. Without the coffee this would be cloyingly sweet, although the coffee doesn’t add anything overly pleasant. 100816

330ml bottle. Pours a clear, red-brown with a small, short lived, fully dissipating, beige head. Spicy aroma of cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, coffee, oak and caramel malt. Overly sweet, spicy flavour of caramel malt, brown sugar, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, coffee and oak with a slightly warming alcohol finish. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Disappointing. Very cloying and quite possibly the worst brew they make.
