Bottle picked up from Etre Gourmet Grez-Doiceau, Belgium. Consumed at home Wednesday 5th August 2020 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours dark brown almost black with a light beige head. Elastoplast on the nose *Loz hates this, actually I should say LOZ HATES THIS. A touch roasty, smoother than expected, the Islay ageing is prominent but maybe I have changed over the years but it's not what I expected. Good.

Bottle at the dockside tap. Pours black, nose is peaty, roasted, caramel, taste is sweet toffee, smoky, thin.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of nice smokey peat, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel and licorice. Taste of soft peat, smoke, chocolate, caramel, licorice, nuts and subtle roasted malt. Nice whisky finish. I like this, bit like a session black coal ila.

Deep dark brown colour with a ruby hue, good frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, peat, salty dog, iodine, umani, smoked notes, retronasal smoke and iodine. Taste medium sweet amdn light bitter, roasted malt, peat, coffee, woody notes, hint of peated whisky. Malty aftertaste, smoky and light spicy notes. Light body, watery texture (like the sea), average carbonation, very rich and complex stout, excellent.

Keg at Six Degrees N, Aberdeen. It pours opaque darkest brown to black with a decent beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, plenty of peat reek, oily, smoked, umami, rocky road, islay whisky, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and cocoa. The taste is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, firmly dry, umami, smoked peat, tobacco, bonfire, chocolate, toffee, rocky road, cocoa and light spice. Lighter end of medium body and fine carbonation. Has an expectii am amount of flavour and drinkability for this kind of abv. Aroma is so damn fresh. Very nice stuff.
