Dark red-brown colour. A firm creamy and cream-coloured head. The smell of roasted malt, caramel and the sweet fruitiness of the alcohol give this beer the perfect aroma. Flavour: Caramel, sweet fruitiness and a pleasant bitterness are the predominant flavours. The aftertaste reveals a pinch of toffee and date.

Smell - weak, cant really feel anything in it. Foam - some carbonation, not creamy, medium thick, bit watery, not soft, no prominent tastes. Taste - some carbonation, little bitterness in aftertaste, quite pleasant, no alcohol flavor at all, feels a lot lighter than advertised 7.3% Easy drinking. In general nothing wrong with it, but cant see anything special as well. Fine brew.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty, toffee caramel, treacle. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, sweet malt, light liqouirce, light boozy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a tall and loud beige head. Good retention. Nose: dark malts, spicy yeast, fresh and dried fruit. Light to medium body. The taste keeps the features mentioned above. Rather thin for that ABV. Mediocre within Belgian standards.

Bottle from Jumbo. Gusher - half of the bottle disappeared on opening. Hazy brown body with no head or lacing. Aroma of malt vinegar, burnt orange and stewed figs. Flavour of sour apple, cinnamon, boozy orange and brown bread. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Sharp and almost sangria-like. An unusual beer that grew on me.

From old tasting notes. Nice mahogany red color topped by a thick tan whipped cream head. Rich roasted malt aroma. Earthy roasted malt flavor hints at caramel and currants. Satisfying flavor is full bodied and complex. Mild hops come through in finish.

Huge beige frothy head disappeared immediately leaving just a reddy brown , effervescent body. Caramel, brown sugar aroma. Medium body, slight tingle on the back. Malt, caramel, brown sugar - that’s about it. Totally Non-Descript

33cl bottle from Hopduvel, Ghent. A deep reddish brown colour with a billowing beige head that settles back to a thin covering; sour grainy aroma with some caramel in the background; soft and smooth in the mouth with a taste of dates and burnt sugar; then a warming fruity finish, with lingering dates. A pleasant beer to sip slowly.
