Dark red-brown colour. A firm creamy and cream-coloured head. The smell of roasted malt, caramel and the sweet fruitiness of the alcohol give this beer the perfect aroma. Flavour: Caramel, sweet fruitiness and a pleasant bitterness are the predominant flavours. The aftertaste reveals a pinch of toffee and date.

Light and frothy dark brown ale. Subtle fruit to start leading to a milk chocolatey mid and then some tangy fruit and a dry malty finish. Decent!

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg France. Hazy brown colour, large off-white head. Malty-fruity nose. Rather thin malty base with some spices and a shy hoppy touch. Quite thin for the strength.

Bottled, poured into a chalice. Dark brown, can’t see through it. Head is a little excited but simmers down after a minute. Not a great deal of aroma, aside from alcohol, slightly sweet. Hints of banana, malt, coriander. Nice mouthfeel, but weird aftertaste that seems tinny. Overall good to sip, not too complicated. Decent dark beer.
