Barrel-aged fruited brown aged on pawpaw, bananas, and spices. — This collaboration with our friends at Paradox Brewery began with a shared passion and an ambitious number of ingredients. The base beer is aged for 14 months and utilizes more varieties of malt than we ever have before. Using 11 spices total, the malt-forward blend is combined with banana & pawpaw for 2 more months creating a complex yet balanced character. Pouring a hazy hazel, aromas of caramel & spicy dominate with a hint of burnt sugar. Roasty and hints of molasses finish with notes of bananas & pawpaws.

Keg draught at BrewDog Paddington. Reddish brown and clear with a miniscule amount of pinkish/beige head. Soy, sweet balsamic vinegar, some cherry notes, light notes of banana leaf. I tense and complex taste with a serious sourness with more light banana. I've not an idea what paw paw smells or tastes like but I'm guessing it's what imparts the berry-like note in the finish. It comes off a lot like a Flanders Red. Incredible.

Tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Dark ruby colour and small beige head. Sweet fruity, woody, spicey, not very strong nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Tartness, wood, red wine tannines, maybe some banana. Very delicate sour beer. Good.

18/VIII/21 - on tap @ Beer Temple (Amsterdam), BB: n/a (2021-862) Thanks to the misses for going on a beer tour with me!
Clear ruby red to red brown beer, little adhesive. Aroma: pretty sourish impression, little dirty, fermented strawberries, kiwi, overripe banana, very yeasty, weird stuff… MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: wow, mouth puckering acidity, very sour, pretty metallic as well, banana peel, lemony. Aftertaste: very sourish, burning acidity in the throat, vinegar notes, red currants, bitter finish, something funky, kiwi bitterness, very metallic, too harsh acidic and some weird off-flavours, not a fan of this weird shit.

Banana/pawpaw, clove, cinnamon, musty caramel malt, and grass aroma. Dark brown with small head. Mildly sweet banana, clove, caramel malt, moderately sour citric acid, and mildly bitter musty hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Pretty sour but nice.
