This Pancake Pale was made with vegan Pancakes in the mash, and Canadian Maple Syrup in the boil. Full bodied, full flavoured yet really drinkable.

Ruikt zeker naar ahornsiroop. Smaakt er ook naar. Keihard fan van. Doet me denken aan de Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple ale.

440ml Can sophiesbeerstore.co.uk. Pours clear golden amber. Big maple syrup aroma. Taste is there, markedly sweet with quite a strong maple syrup presence, but it comes across a little thin and simplistic. I sense its best paired with actual pancakes to give it more substance.

Keg at Fierce. It pours hazy deep amber with an orangey hue and a small white head. The aroma is sweet and battery, sticky, definite pancake vibes upfront, maple syrup, cakey malts and oiliness. The taste is slick, sweet, oily, pancakes dowsed in maple syrup, thick and battery, cakey malts, a hint of toasty smoke and flapjacks with a toasty cereal finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Does what it says on the tin. Struaght up maple drizzled pancakes.
