Our barrel aging facility consists of around 300 oak barrels, all filled with different beer styles. All Sails Ripped is a perfect blend from selected barrels and the result is a rich and well balanced stout, with flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and prunes. Aged in whisky barrels.

Nose has plums, raisins and backyard garden. Sweet, a bit syrupy, lots of plum, chocolate and bourbon. There's something herbal there, maybe some licorice. Very interesting, and not just in a bad way.

33cl fles, toetje van een leuk avondje bieren en ‘live’ Katatonia kijken. Zwart als teer, beige kraag. Whisky, rode wijn, pruimen, erg zoet en suikerig maar complex genoeg om niet heel storend te zijn, chocolade, koffie, boozy, meer whisky. Dik en stroperig. Lekker, maar denk dat ik em op een gewone dag te zoet had gevonden.

330ml bottle, batch 47191, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pour reveals a jet black body under a bubbly, tan-coloured head, spotty lacing. Lovely aromas of chocolate and dried fruits. Solid and well balanced taste of chocolate, roasted brown sugar, oak, and prunes. Vinous impression. Roasted coffee notes to a lingering ending. Nicely warming down the swallow. Full bodied. Excellent sipper on a Saturday eve. One of the best so far this year. (Tromsø 21.03.2020).

KØLF 070220. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, apparger, suga. Flavor is asparges, sugar, chocolate coffee, licorice, prunes, whiskey, oak. Weird aroma, but a lovely beer.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, moden stenfrukt, mandler og fat. Fyldig. Smaker søt moden frukt. Lett bitter mørk sjokolade, kaffe, melasse, lakris og noe floralsk.

Bottle. Black. Caramel, soft spicy notes, coffee, prunes in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with spices, coffee, caramel, dried fruit, kruidkoek, vanilla. A bit too sweet and spicy.
