Svart. Skumring med litt farge. Aroma av sjokolade, lakris & eik. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken innholdsrik. Mye kakao & sjokolade. Også nøtter & tørket frukt. Alkoholisk søt & tørr avslutning.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', bottled in January 2020. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently oxidized, moderately roasty aroma of sherry, leather, rum, praline, lovage, dark chocolate, juniper and some licorice. Rather sweet, malty, gently roasty, slightly oxidized and a little fruity taste of praline, hard roasted coffee, lovage, cinnamon, juniper, rum, dark fruits, sherry, whisky and cognac, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly oxidized, a bit spicy and minimally earthy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. A hell of a beer, very complex with so many different flavours and so intense. Not your average RIS, quite spicy but also borderline sweet. Love it, but one bottle is more than enough.

Taste has thick creamy licorice, fruity whisky, booze, bitter molasses, burned caramel, fruity vanilla, chocolate, oat, rye and candi sugar. Really soft mouthfeel. Nice rich flavorful smoothly boozy beer.

Teveel dropsmaak aanvankelijk. Daarna een goeie schep suiker. Uiteindelijk trekt het weg met chocolade en vanille. Van mij had het meteen chocolade met een vleugje vanille mogen zijn.

Bottle, at Christianssand Brygghus. Close to black in the glass, with a tan head. Alcohol, coffee, prunes, red wine, roasted malt and some dark chocolate in the aroma. It's full bodied, warming, smooth and nicely carbonated. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some red wine in the flavor. Ever lasting finish. Sure a delicious one. Wow. 200727

Bottle. Pours ink black with very little head. Aroma is very complex, loads of chocolate, burnt caramel, licorice, figs, some almond, coffee and vanilla. Big body, smooth silky mouthfeel. Flavour is very rich, sweet, malty and complex. Dark malts shine with notes of rich dark chocolate, coffee, rich brown sugar, burnt caramel. Very sweet but balanced by the layered flavour profile and a good bitterness. Beautiful bourbon character, some oak and vanilla go along with it. Finish is very long, bittersweet and dominated by bourbon. Beautiful!
