The light burned malts give it the deep golden blonde colour. The spicy hops give it the fresh bitter taste. After the brewing process the beer is fermented for 14 days. During the second fermentation it is lagered so the beer gets a fuller flavour. This lagering takes a long period when an alcohol percentage of 7.2% ABV is reached.

Golden color, frothy head. Malty peararoma. Just a bit dusty. Firm hopbitter flavor. Some caramel and pear. Strong bitter and metal aftertaste. Just a bit alcoholic. Not bad, but the metal annoys a bit.

Hard to believe that this beer is made by the same folks that made Duchesse. Aroma’s mild, malt, yeast and a little caramel. Flavor’s ok, not much sign of the traditional Belgian signature. Ok enough. Bottle was a gift from friend Anthony thanks man.

330ml bottle, many thanks to djoeye. Huge, bubbly, off-white head leaving crocheted lacing as it goes down. Bright golden body. Aroma of dusty hops, apples and yeast. Mixed taste of mild caramel, apples and a backdrop of cinnamon. Slight yeasty fruitiness to the ending. Silky mouth feel with warming alcohol. Pleasing without being great (Tromsø 18.12.2015).

Bottle from a multi-pack with a glass at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity and herbal - yet making me think of seafood. Med + body. Flavor is herbal, yeast, lightly metallic. Sort of crisp. If one appreciates the ales on the shoulders of the bell curve, this is it! It’s rather dry, somewhat hoppy, and fitting my taste range.
