The light burned malts give it the deep golden blonde colour. The spicy hops give it the fresh bitter taste. After the brewing process the beer is fermented for 14 days. During the second fermentation it is lagered so the beer gets a fuller flavour. This lagering takes a long period when an alcohol percentage of 7.2% ABV is reached.

Small white head. Hazy pale yellow body with carbonation and floaties. Alcoholic herbal aroma is boring. Dry herbal alcohlic taste with faint honey notes. Thin body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry herbal floral mealy aftertaste. Pointless. Either that, or killed by previous beer. Should rerate. (0.25l bottle from gr0ve.)

Bottle. Golden color with a small white head. Yeasty aroma, also fruits and spices, particularly coriander. Rather spicy taste, aftertaste was short and with some bitternes. Chrismas beer?

Bottle, 25cl. It pours a clear, sparkling golden body, topped by a white, creamy head of gigantic proportions. The head lasts and leaves lacings. The nose is on the fruity side, with canned fruits, some banana, a gentle spicy touch and some resiny hops. It’s qute effervescent in the mouth, full-bodied and slightly warming. It has flavors of banana and ripe, yellow apples, some spices and a fine bitterness. It finishes quite bitter, with some resin and sweetness too. There’s not much Christmas in this beer, at least not in my book, but it’s a fine beer, well suited for the colder days. Would probably do fine on a late summer evening too, before bed time. (090427)

Bottle: Creamy, golden to deep golden, quite clear,medium-sized creamy, lacy white head; medium bodied, soft creamy MF; moderate sweetish-sourish fruity nose with hops and coriander in the background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour; sourish fruitiness in the finish, followed by a light tart-bitter aftertaste. A fine, well crafted beer.....
