The light burned malts give it the deep golden blonde colour. The spicy hops give it the fresh bitter taste. After the brewing process the beer is fermented for 14 days. During the second fermentation it is lagered so the beer gets a fuller flavour. This lagering takes a long period when an alcohol percentage of 7.2% ABV is reached.

25 cl. bottle in to a trappist glass. Golden colour with a white head that fades to a thin cap. Sweet aroma with bread, fruits, raisin and a alcohol note. Light sweet taste with a medium body, but a bit thin considering the abv. and style. Thin texture with a lively carbonation. Medium length finish with a burn from the alcohol, a slight metallic note and sweet, exotic fruits. To much alcohol in this one.

bouteille 25cl, bb 03-2012.

I think I sampled this from bottle at Kerstbierfestival Essen (Belgium) 2010. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell malts and spices, not really nice. Tastes less spicy and more bitter. Nicely balanced, firm carbo and a medium to full body. Useful beer.

Rerate, 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate spices, grain and dust in the aroma. The flavour is not too sweet, with a nice spicy character, and moderate hops in the finish. Esy drinking for its strength. Original rating: Bottles, shared at Holmen Nanobryggeri’s annual Christmas/Yule beer tasting. ABV 7.2%. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Spicy aroma. Moderately spicy flavour. Decent and drinkable, but a bit too far out on the "light" end of what is acceptable for a Christmas brew.

Bright gold body, decent pillow of modestly thick head. Aroma of grains and some off-hand grassy rottenness on the back end. Taste is a load of malt boosted by hoppy notes, and then a dry finish. Almost like chewing on the mistletoe. Yet, it’s drinkable.
