The light burned malts give it the deep golden blonde colour. The spicy hops give it the fresh bitter taste. After the brewing process the beer is fermented for 14 days. During the second fermentation it is lagered so the beer gets a fuller flavour. This lagering takes a long period when an alcohol percentage of 7.2% ABV is reached.

Dobre i chmielne, nieco cytrusowe w zapachu, przypominalo mi amerykanskie pale ale, byc moze dodano tu chmielu rodem z USA. Niewielka piana, zlocisty kolor, brak drozdzowego osadu. Delikatne i lekkie, co dziwi przy wyzszym stezeniu alkocholu.

2013 Bottle (I believe) - Best By Date of 2014 / 05 / 12 Completely crisp golden coloured body with a very fast-just oily topped off-white head. Aroma of cereal, bread, malt, yeast, wort and more grain - not too pleasant at all. Medium-bodied; Assertive effeverscence with a cereal and grain kick, some mild earthiness and an unfinished wort quality that doesn’t lend to a solid finish. Aftertaste shows some malt, a hint of sugars and the unfinished yeastiness that isn’t pleasant. Overall, a sub par beer, and a poor Christmas/winter beer regardless of where you are, especially in Belgium! Not worth buying and especially not worth bringing back across the pond. I sampled this 25 cL bottle purchased from De Bier Tempel in Bruges, Belgium on 14-August-2013 for €2,00 sampled at home in Washington, after Christmas 2013 on 05-January-2014.

25cl Bottle from Lost Property. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is quite malty, cake, bread, coups be imagination but I found it Christmassy in a way, fruity esters. Flavour is malts, bread, cake, a hint of alcohol and fruity tartness, grape, light spicy, light-tart/bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Nice beer IMHO.

1998 Vintage. 25 cl. bottle (bottle states 25 cl. / 33 cl. oddly but looks like 25 cl. to me) sampled @ Kulminator as “Noël Chirstmas Weihnacht”. Golden amber with little white head. Nose is oxidized but in a solid way, sticky toffee, caramel, lots of sugar, very simple but holding up very well considering the age with some light dust. Taste is similar, oxidation but well, sweet caramel, toffee, simple brown sugar, dusty (but restrained), syrup, sticky, pretty boozy with an almost cognac edge to it,.. Syrupy, sticky, little carb. Pretty simple but has survived well, probably thx to it sugary simplicity. Solid enough still.

licht geel/gouden kleur, witter kraag die vrij snel verdwenen is. aroma van bloemen, parfum, kruiden en wijn. smaak van peper, citrus, koriander en lichte wijn. vrij lichte body met een te beperkte smaakevolutie van een kerst bier, afdronk droog over het algemeen een vrij matig kerstbier --- Beer merged from original tick of Noël Christmas Weihnacht - on 17 May 2018 at 15:12 - Score: 6

Clear golden beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: bit sugary, grassy, quite some spices, sweet malts, some citrus. MF: lively carbon, a bit too much, light to medium body. Taste: quite some citric hops, bit sugary, sweet malts, herbal and grassy hops, pleasant bitter taste. Aftertaste: bit metallic, grassy hops, citrus, pretty bitter, alcohol, albeit pretty low (for a Belgian), still quite noticeable.

Bottle at home in London. Pours bright gold with a frothy, white head. Has a rather lovely Belgian yeast aroma with some dough and candi sugar. Flavor isn’t quite as nice as the aroma. Light to medium sweet, some dry dough, yeast, some hay and very light grain. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Sweet finish, light white sugar, straw, doughy bread. Could use a bit more dynamism. Overall decent.
