The latest installment in our long-running “Hello My Name is…” series. Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing, this beer has been fittingly named after Jeppe’s mum … because she’s a Danish woman and that’s kind of how this series works. Single hopped with Mosaic and loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this big fruity hop bomb is everything you want in a woman. Or a man. Come say ‘Hi’ to Sonja!

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer with a dense light beige head. A very fruity one, lots of berries and piney hops in the aroma. Some caramel notes. Pine cones, resins, berries, pale malts and quite a lot of bitterness in the flavor. Full body, dry, with a nice carbonation level. Berries and hops in the finish. Nice, especially the berry touch. 131129

Bright clear amber beer, good fluffy white head. Intoxicating nose of pine, passion fruit, mellow skunk and a touch of blueberry! Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. Very light malt cream. Taste then follows the nose adding a little spice and minty coolness. Finishes smooth and semi dry. An unusual dipa, tasty and drinkable.

33 cl bottle @ William K Kurvi. Batch #237, BBE 09.10.2014
Aroma is fruity and juicy with caramel and pineapples. Flavour is tart with some fruity hops, lingonberries, grapefruits and caramel. The tartness and bitterness do not quite match. Not bad anyway.
