Taste: Sweet malts and red fruits slide down your tongue like velvet, with an oaky vinous character and strong biscuit flavour following. Hints of clean herbal hoppy bitterness and umami join in, with a light peppery spiciness lingering on the tongue.

Bottle - oh man, what a lovely example - the lagered portion really shines through up front, with notes of berry, caramelized sugars, vanilla - the barreled portion brings deeper notes of roast, coffee, oak, whiskey - dense layers of tamarind, umami, smoke - it’s dang good.

Black with a lasting tan head. Roasted aroma with liquorice, treacle, coffee, leather and light smoke, with a touch of booze. Sweet, roasted flavour with loads of liquorice and a hard roasted, ashy edge.

Molasses and vanilla nose, fairly strong, subdued prune accents. Black, somewhat viscous pour, thin beige head. Molasses, charred oak, prune. Medium body, soft carbonation, warm. My gosh I love these Baltic, baltic porters.

Good, if incredibly sweet. Full of fudge, molasses, caramel, dried fruit, and raisin, with a little black cherry and cola on the back end. Underlined with orange blossom honey and a woody bitterness. Finishes as sweet as it begins, but the lack of alcohol is astounding for a beer this big. Gets to be a bit much as the pint empties, but wickedly easy to drink.

Look: opaque deep brown to black with a small beige head of decent retention. Aroma: toasted malts, vinous notes, dark chocolate, salt, prunes, dates. Taste: toasted malts, caramelized sugar, dried fruit, dark chocolate, hop. Balanced ending bitterness. Mouth feel: full minus body, appropriate carbonation. Overall: a high class brew.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small, creamy, fading, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, some treacle, dark caramel, a touch of liquorice, spicy yeasty overtones with a cautious touch of marmite. Taste is sweet, dark malty, bitter hoppy, notes of treacle, dark caramel, fruity hints of bramble, blueberry, a touch of liquorice. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. More old flavours in the nose, quite fresh in taste - good.

Rozgrzewające, mnóstwo palonych słodów, gorzka czekolada, melasa. Trochę za alkoholowe. Jakby kwiatowe w tle.
