This 8-Bit (Belgian Dark Strong Ale) is the 2nd collaboration beer with Mr. Nishinaka who is the head brewer and Belgian beer professional of Kakegawa Farm Brewing in Kakegawa, Shizuoka. This has been brewed last October, after 4 months of conditioning, it will be finally released. The aroma has banana ester, dried raisins, brown sugar, etc. Also, you can enjoy rich body of blended malts but dry in finish, have a slight bitterness for aftertaste. The recommended liquid temperature is around 12 celsius degrees, slightly higher than normal beer. While drinking slowly, I hope you enjoy the changing flavor as time goes by.

Nara Brewing 8-Bit 8.6% 25 IBU It’s a deep ruby brown with a dense tan head and fruitcake featuring figs and sticky toffee/caramel aroma. Full bodied with slippery smooth and just a hint of warmth in the finish. Lots of bready sweet caramel and sticky candies fruit for a luscious tasty treat. Great.

brown color. Nice Belgian yeast character in the nose with bananas chocolate cherries. Fairly estry with banana bread. Semi dry, malty, excellent yeast character smooth. Alcohol fairly well hidden. Low medium carbonation. Nice chocolate banana and Belgian yeast at the end. Superb

750 ml bottle, mail order from the brewery. At home in my Westy chalice. Nose is chocolate, treacle, spicy yeast, somewhat more in the saison line than the Trappist dark line. Raisins, figs, touch of soy sauce. Dark brown, almost black, with a perfect, medium-high, thick tan head. Spicy yeast, chocolate and toffee flavor. Some apple and cherry notes. Slightly herbal, thick raisin and dried plums, very spicy yeast. Finish is quite bitter, more than usual for the style, and just a bit muddled. Still, a lovely drink. Somewhere between an imperial black saison than a quad, with lovely malt going on too. I will save my second bottle until next year, and hopefully the finish will mellow out a bit.
