On tap at Spuyten Duyvil, looks like this thing is 3 years old. Poured into a wine glass with a strong, thick head, which turns into a surface covering lacing. Color is a beautiful, thick, dark golden with light orange tints. There is plenty of light radiance absolutely no clarity through the beer. Aroma is strong with tartiness upfront and a tangerine-perfume floralness. Just so cool, its almost brett-esque but fruity and solid a the same time; everything just melds so well together. Taste is a conservative version of the aroma, list perfume and tart but still there. Sooooo damn quaffable and finishes with a light dryness. Slight acidity at the end. I came to have one glass and had to have three as opposed to trying other awesome beers on tap at the time. And if I go back I will have more.

pours an off white head. Hazy gold color. Juniper is in the aroma and taste. Mild taste, interesting.

Clear blonde body with some subtle orange highlights and a nice thin white head. Aroma of strong gin (beefeater)-from the juniper berries, dirt and some strong earthyness. Light-bodied; Dirt, pale malt in the taste-nothing real special nor strong. Overall, too plain and too floral to be a great beer. I sampled this 75 cL bottle at the November RB party at Founder’s in Alexandria, Virginia on 20-November-2004.

2004 draught @ BBF. Following up another spiced beer (Offshore Rye Not) with this proved to be a great comparison. This one was much more balanced with what seems a big sweet gale and rosemary body, mixed with a lightly sweet malt. Dull pale yellow, small white head, mostly cloudy. Light fruit notes mix with a dose of alcohol. Not overly astringent, and not overly sweet, I like it, but I would like to see some more yeast apparency. Smells very herbalesque, with spicy yeast notes, almost like a trippel.
