Bottle @ Blind Tiger, menu said 2004, bottle said 2006, you figure it out. Pours a hazy yellow with medium clarity. Aroma, as gotmos said, is all apples strudel (sweet, granny smith apples, and bready). Taste is slightly soured apple and fruit jucie with a bready aftertaste. Pretty light bodied and generally weak. Its a great mead or the alco-pop generation.

Hazy blonde mead with a faint honey aroma. Light and watery, with a touch of honey, and some cinnamon. Watery. lacks in character. Bottle sample at brewery, Dec. 04.

AOBF 04. Bottle. Pours a pretty mild, clear yellow, light and golden hues, with a small white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is weak, mildly sweet honey, some type of herbal influence, kind of a spring watery appeal. Starts out with a very light bodied spicy flavor (must be the chamomile) which is augmented by what tastes like light, granny smith apples. The honey starts to provide a nice smooth, almost creamy texture, but then, true to the brewery, it dies. It dies a watery, lifeless, flavorless death. I dont know what much more to say, light bodied, inoffensive, but just nothing really there. At least it’s not too sweet?
