.5l hefe glass, drafted at the brewpub in Farmingdale, New York. Served with a lemon. Pour is a cloudy yellow orange golden with a loose white head. Aroma is fruit stripe gum, clove, along with a bit of straw. Taste is sweet with the gum, turning quick to wheat and clove. The clove lingers a bit in the aftertaste. This became a bit unclean as it warmed, showing some off flavors. Palate is un filtered, medium bodied, decent gypsum mineral dry in the finish. Pretty standard hefe.

Tap @ Brewpub. Served in a weizen. Color is cloudy yellow with a medium sized frothy head. Aroma is strong - lots of earthy almost cinnamon like aromas with an underlying lemon zest. One of the more stronger smelling hefe’s I have come across. Taste is a mute heavy but not overly zingy lemon. No bitterness and seltzer-like mouthfeel.

Spicy, with some banana - a bit too sweet, as others have noted - pretty standard appearance and aroma - smooth on the palate - quite drinkable, but run-of-the-mill.

Very muddy, very pale yellow. Aroma is heavy on the banana and comes off very sweet, like icing sugar. The palate is creamy and sweet, with lots of banana and yeast.
