12 oz. bottle. Basic nice amber color. Pours a good rocky head, nice clear body with columns of bubbles. Smell offers some nice malty aromas, no suggestion of adjuncts, so thanks for that. Taste is pretty good, malty, but with a good hop note to it, bubbly and a little sticky. Some graniness that does not detract.Crystal malt flavor tends toward the caramel roast side. A noticeable touch of alcohol, but not burning. Again, a nice use of German style hops that offers some spice while holding malts in check.

Bottle. Sort of a bland, not very sweet caramel aroma. Nice amber color with no head at all. Near medium body with very little carbonation. Sort of a bland not very sweet caramel with hints of hop. Decent enough, but not anything to get excited about. I suspect the bottle is atypical in that it lacks carbonation, but I donβt think more fizz would change my feeling.

Bottle from Park Lane Liquor in Lancaster, CA, bottle states it is from Minneapolis, MN. The beer pours a glowing orange-amber color with a minimal off-white head that bubbles away to nothing immediately. Lacing is virtually non-existent. Tart fruit and light malt aroma. Medium-bodied with a tart fruit and pungent malt flavor that makes me wonder if this beer predates the Stevens Point ownership. Very little hops are present. The finish is fruity cough medicine. Pass.

Bottle. Clear amber body with little head. This is definitely a malty beer, as the Vienna style was meant to be. The aroma is sweet with caramel, but there are significant notes of grain β and as it warmed, some hints of canned corn. The flavor is just as malty sweet as the aroma. The finish did present a very slight bitterness. Medium body and syrupy texture. This was more enjoyable colder than warmer, which tells me something.

Pour is a orange with a white head. Aroma is a bit of grainy malt with no hops present. Flavor is a toasted biscut with some lingering hops. Nothing to go out and find and not really in the horrible catagory but it does have some promise of being a good beer.

A hazy dark orange beer with a fine collapsing and lazing orange head. The nose is of oranges, yeast, malt, and hints of hops. The flavor is of oranges, yeast, caramel, malt, aroma hops, and slight touches of bitter hops giving it a dry end. Surprisingly yeasty.

Got this on a trip to minnesota, the only place i have ever seen it. With choices of only buds and millers, this was the best there(except for guiness). It has a nice reddish color, good taste with little head. This is an average beer but better tthan the competition at this bar.

This was just labelled as James Page Amber - assuming its the same beer. Fizzy light amber with no head! Caramelly and briny aroma. Rich butterscotch flavor and light finish. Decent.
