Draft. An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of vinegar, berries, malt, vinegar, and brettanomyces. The flavor is acidic with notes of malt and berries, leading to a tart finish.

RBSG09. Strong sour berry flavor that grew a bit cloying after a few sips. Quite tart. It reminded me of a tart rhubarb pie, although I imagine it’s just olallieberries. Hard to find anything but sour berries in the flavor. It works a bit better in the aroma, but I didn’t love it. Mild funk, verging on the unnoticeable underneath all those berries. Perhaps, there was also a touch of oak. Pretty good sour but I need it to be incredible to accept that much fruit flavor.

On tap. Pours a reddish amber with a vaguely pinkish head. Aroma of rhubarb and pumpkin, distinctly tart. Light body, distinctly fruity and tart with a strange saltiness also - like in shellfish?? Very strange and not really my thing. 110709

On tap at Stone Sourfest. Pours with a hazy berry colored body and a light off-white head. Aroma of sweet berries with some tang, wine and light barrel. Taste is a touch of oak and tart berries down to the seeds. Very good with a lot of tannins. Low carbonation.

Growler shared by beastiefan2k. Pour is cloudy ruby red and blood orange with an off pink white head that dissaptes pretty quickly with loud fizzies. Aroma of sour berry, soft husky cherry skins. Some tart barrel in the back. Some oak barrel in there. Nice, active and fresh nose. Taste is the berries, sour, sweet and tart. The wood and oak is also present, especially as it warms. The oak adds a lot of butter to the back of the taste. Palate is medium, lower carbonation, long residual finish - more of the butter.

Beautiful, full, rosy, pink, red, and even a shade of purple color. Cannot see through the beer. The head is a light pink color. It has a very loud pour as it crackles the night away. Aroma is full of tart berries and it hides just a bit of the barrel butter in the back. The tartness is strong and it is continued in the flavor. This tartness along with a very fizzy mouthfeel combat the oak sugar in the back as well plus work great together. Leaves a long lingering dryness with a cranberry and strawberry mix of berry flavor. Its cool stuff, a bit one dimensional with the tartness and the berries running wild.

Sample at RBSG Grand Tasting! Nose?, of what else, olallieberries, yeast, and tarty funkiness with the berries dominating. Cloudy orange red with a medium pink tinged head. Flavor has a short burst of funk graduating into tartness and some fruity berries and oak with a light winey finish.
