Blonde ale with a thin white head. A pleasant sweet berry aroma. In mouth, a sweetish grassy wheat ale with light banana notes. Light bodied. On tap at MSP location, Jan 24 2009.

Sampler at MSP airport, labeled just "Wheat" but definitely a Belgian Wit, so I will rate it here. This was of course the first in the sampler and it was the first I rated. It looks very nice, a very hay, almost dirty, straw-golden color with radiant edges. Araom is spot on for Wit with lots of lemon and coriander and a touch of Belgian yeast dough. Taste is thicker with more coriander coming through. It has a cool and original, almost fuzzy mouthfeel to it, I enjoyed it tremendously.

Sample at the MSP location. This beer pours a hazy yellow color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Mild spices and wheat in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of wheat and light fruit and spices. The finish is clean and fruity with a short wheaty aftertaste. Rather humdrum overall.

Wit? No, this is a crappy American wheat. Yellow and it looks filtered. Aroma of very light wheat without spices associated with a wit, and the same is true of the flavor where there is only a light wheat sweetness and no other qualities of a wit.
