Draft, at a Royals tailgate. Pour is copper golden, with a nice, well formed one inch light tan head. Aroma is softly roasted malt, with a light caramel sweetness and bready toastiness. Behind is floral hop. Nice, welcoming nose. Taste is the nose, though features the floral hops more prominently along with the nice interplay between the sweet and roast. The finish is very clean, and has the biscuity sweet toast. Palate was perfect for a sessionable tailgate beer - light to medium bodied, nice active and soft carbonation and a clean finish. Really well made beer.

Beer #35 of 42 at GTMW, 8-8-09. My brother-in-law lived in Lawrenceville once, then he divorced my sister and became a Pentecostal. So screw him,… sorry, I’m transcribing my tasting notes from voice recording on my cell phone.
Here’s a nice amber ale. Nice thin, clingy beer head. I don’t get a lot of beer in this style. Smell is a nice hoppy, slightly malty taste. Taste is just great beer. Very nice hop bitterness, no specific hop to speak of, but it just slaps against the malt. The mouthfeel brings everything together nicely.

Growler from brewpub. Pours a slightly darker, clear, copper color. Has a small head and leaves a sticky lacing. Aroma is hoppy (green rubber hops). Behind that is just a clean, empty brew. Taste is strong on the bitterness from the hops and gain nothing much past that. Its basically a hoppy, clean, amber ale with a dressed up like a Cali Common. What’s that about pigs and lipstick? 6/3/6/3/13

Re-rate: shaker at the brewpub. I stand by every word in that previous rating but I am not sure why I was so harsh with the ratings. 7/3/7/3/15
