Otto is soothing and deep, with flavors of red and black fruits, vanilla and oak. Otto blends peaches and cherries with our distinguished beer, Fred. It is then aged in oak barrels for at least 18 months. Brewed with love and respect for my brewery's strongest influence, Fred Eckhardt, and bears his name at birth.

12oz bottle pour at the DC beer share. Poured an amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was some dried fruits, caramel, cherry pulp. It's starting to thin out a bit, especially since it's 10 years old. Still a bit boozy. Purchased from the Hair of the Dog website right before the store apparently was taken down, so this is one of the last things sold by them.

From tap at Hair of the Dog, Portland. Aroma is big dried fruits, sweet malt, oak, apricot, grandma’s pie, stewed prunes, liquor, sugary notes, vanilla. Flavour is heavy sweet with warming booze. Body is full. Complex and rich, very impressive delicate stuff.

2016 bottle purchased in Portland at the source and consumed in Rome with Daniele. Clear orange/amber a bit light, no foam. Nose: cherries jam, molasses, vanilla, yellow fruit jam. Mouth: English way barley wine, dried figs, a bit spicy and chili notes. Beautiful
