O'Hara Airport, Hub51, T5. Dark golden colour and small white head. Resiny, piney nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Nice resiny, piney hoppyness. Citrus too. Lots of flavour for 4.8% pale ale.

Can shared at work. Pours a deeper golden with white head. Nose is citruses and light stone fruits. Taste is mid to high bitterness, showing citruses, light grassy notes and some pine. Closes with a dry finish, has a light body and soft to average carbonation.

Pint can from Deli Lama, 10/9/22. Hazy orange, large off-white head, good retention. Aroma of leafy hops, lime, grapefruit. Taste is green, peppery, leafy hops, pale malt. Juicy, low bitterness. Decent.

Aroma is similar to the Irie IPA. Flavor isn’t as rich or balanced though. Body is summer haul a little thinner. The regular IPA is much better.

Draft. Loads of tropical and citrus hop notes dominate. Some nice pine and a hint of toffee in the finish.

Pint at Lockdown in Chicago. 3.50 on special. Dark, hazy amber. Clean clear hop aroma but the hops are all over no one dominant hop flavor. Same in flavors. Clean and hop centric but the mix of hops doesn’t work for my tastes.

Draft at Tap House Grill, Westmont. Finally get to pop the cap on another recent Chicago brewer. I found myself really liking this and thinking it was a Double IPA. Let me count the ways: a sudsy IPA head over a bright, brassy body. I thought I was just getting a snootful of Mr. Cascade Hopp and his lupalin friends, not having a full description of the beer in front of me. But definitely a very fresh hop beer. Bold taste combining pine, resin and citrus. Lemony aftertaste from the hops, but still matched by plenty of big malts.
