Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a clear dark ruby amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with weak hints of dark fruit. Sweetish malty dark fruit and caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty dark fruit finish.

Bottle (De Molen Dubbelbock) from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours copper coloured with a minimal off-white head. Aroma of malt, raisins, caramel, fruits with a hint of chocolate. Somewhat sweet and fruity with a dry an slightly bitter finish.

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a red hue - gentle bubbles but not much head. The nose has chocolate biscuits and grapes. The taste has crumbled chocolate hobnobs and a hit of the grapes again (though this could be alcohol burn). The finish is balanced and bitter. The palate is medium to full bodied, with a beautiful elegant texture that continues to the end where the finish is long but again elegance with the bitterness. Overall, I like this great.

A dark brown beer with a weak an blond head. Aroma is ryebready ana slightly sour, roastiness, hint of vegetables. Aroma is ryebready and slightly sour, roastiness and hint of vegetables. Taste is (rye)bready, chocolate, roastiness; balance and easy taste. Medium+ bodied, smooth and slippery to drink. Easy, but also slightly uninspirating beer, at this time, a great brewery provides only a basic beer.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120209) The beer poured brown and quite clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had caramell, malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, hops, caramell and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. An ordinary doppelbock with bit more sweetness than they usually show.

Bottle from Bierkompass.de web shop. Dark brown color with medium white head. Aroma of honey, roasted malt, prunes, raisins. Taste, roasted malt, honey, plums, alcohol, strong bitterness in background. Bitter finish. Good.

33cl bottle. Ruby coloured with minimal tan head. Aroma is moderate malty, slightly sweet and some traces of red fruits. Flavour is moderate toasty, malty, caramelish and a moderate bittery final. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium.

33cl bottle as Dubbelbock from DeMolen biershop. Cuivrée, beige. Arôme houblonné et levure allant vers l’herbacé et fleuri, malt est léger. Bière aux notes cara malt et pale avec une touche de chocolat, fruits noirs et un houblon donnant une légère amertume aux notes de citron. Trouve cette dernière un peu décevante.

Sweet and malty aroma with syrup and some toasted sugar. Flavour is sweet with syrup, butter and lots of malt. Thick palate. The malty sweetness starts to linger in the mouth just after two sips. the butter feels stronger and stronger towards the end of the glass and it actually reminds me of Kukko Pils, I wonder if it is the hop variety? Very malty and rather sweet DP with De Molen house flavour.
