Arend Tripel is a golden, blond delicious tripel with an ageable hoppy scent, a silken mouthfeel; a subtle malty taste, a delicate bitterness of hops and a delicious aftertaste with a surprising fruitiness without being overly sweet. It has a very balanced and enjoyable bitter finish that lingers briefly.

0.75l bottle from Goblet shared with Ogivlado. Hazy golden body- off-white head. Creamy, yeasty aroma, a bit eggy, malty, some spices, some red apple and pear esters, messy. Taste... yeasty, glue, light herbal and phenolic-spicy notes, light red apple and pear esters, trace maltiness too light, likely coriander and some alcohol. Teeny tiny citric notes. Well fuck this beer being imported only in 0.75l bottles. Commercial description: -a golden, blond beer - correct -with a hoppy scent - wrong -a subtle malty note - technically right but hidden enough it's wrong -delicate bitterness of hops - wrong -and a delicious aftertaste - wrong Oh well. Yeasty everything would not make for a brilliant commercial description so there you go. Worse than the Special for me.

Bottle (well past use-by date) from Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe – drunk at home. Pours a golden amber with a vigorous off-white head and good lacing. The usual Belgian suspects in the aroma, malt, yeast and hints of banana. More of the same in the mouth, but with an initial kick of grains and herbs, before the banana swamps everything later on. Some toffee and alcoholic strength hanging around as well. Sweetness to the fore in the finish. This is a decent Belgian tripel.

Beer tasting & B2B event hosted by Belgian Embassy in Croatia, thanks for the invite. Thanks to the kind people from Brouwerij De Ryck for recommending this one. Unclear golden, small off-white head. Malty, grainy, lightly yeasty, there's banana and ripe fruit. Nice herbal and phenolic bitterness, malty background. High carbonation, medium body.

Smell- medium strong, Belgian yeast, weak hops, banana. Foam-thin, hops, Belgian yeast, bit acidic. Head is large, white color. Appearance- nice brewer bottle cap, simple classic label, I do like the cap. Clear orange-amber, few carbonation bubbles. From- snifter Price- 2,49 euros for 330ml Taste- Belgian yeast, weak hops, faint sweetness. Very Belgian-y, not bitter and not sweet, quite neutral. The bitter and hoppy aftertaste, overall good.

Hazy pale amber colour, small stable frothy white head, diminishing slowly to a thin layer with yeast circles, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, toffee/caramel, yeast, honey, light peach, buttery tones. Taste light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, malty, alcohol notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, caramellish, alcohol notes, coriander and peppery notes. A simple and pleasant tripel, good.
