Bottle: Poured a golden color beer with a small bubby head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of tart notes with huge lemon syrup which I don’t really know what to make of. Taste consists of huge lemony syrup which is nothing close to actual lemon with some light tart notes. Zit is a weird experiment after all and one that could have provided worse results. Totally untraditional but somewhat drinkable afterall.

Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival: Pours dark golden with a tiny off white head. Aroma is pretty much sweet lemon. Very sweet all around - artificial/one dimensional & doesnt feel like a real lambic!

25 cL bottle. Pours golden orange with a white creamy/crispy head. Almost soapy lemon aroma, rather clean. Sweet and citric lemon flavoured with a whiff of that classic lambic woody flavour. Lemon lasts into the finish. Quite refreshing.

Bottled at Delirium, Gothenburg. Golden in color, with white head. Nose is mainly lemon and lime, and something that reminds me of dishwashing water. Taste is almost lemon juice, with a short, sweet beginning and a lemon-acid finish. (051008)

(Bottle 25 cl) Must admit that I’ve kept this bottle for quite some time, desperately seeking the right moment to drink a lemon beer. But then again lemon in beer is not THAT unusual - and De Troch has taught me to expect anything and nothing
Clear amber with a very small and collapsing head. 20% lemon juice is added to the already sour lambic with a ton of sugar to illiminate some of the acid. Quite fresh and sharp but more unusual than actually good. 161000

Dark golden, honeyish colour with faint olive shine; whiteish head, gone in secs. Adstringent nose, lemony, but as from those yellow plastic vials sold as lemonjuice substitute. Afterwards glue and a particular kind of thick-skinned yellow grapes. Again artificial lemony onset in the taste, then horseblanket for a couple of seconds. Then the mouth dries out at an alarming rate. "Tart" even doesn’t come close. Behind that, some artificial sweetness, overwhelmed. Tart, tart, tart. Dry-out effect, adstringent. Lambid + lemon. Bound to clash somewhere. Lemonsquash².
