Bottle sample at my 5555th rating tasting at Sar HaMashkaot Ramat Gan. Thanks Alex Shmoo-Shmoo. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma of pineapple popsicle and faint oakiness. Sweetish flavor with pineapple popsicle, caramel and oak. Medium-bodied. Refreshing.

Rather fluffy transparant to dirty-cream head, receding rapidly over clear-copper beer, lively carbonated. Wood, lactic acid, lemon in descending order in the nose. Very dry, nearly tart; leather, spices, musk, and of course, wood. Finish has a resemblance of maltsweetness. What is suspiciously absent is vanilla, which I associate with fresh (not: French) oak... Rather bitter palate, though that dissapears in the aftertaste, as from some strange alkali(salt?). Light body, obvious Brett-attenuated. Not much in the matter of aftertaste. Strange... Has to be compared to the other woods. No resemblance at all to your classical Oud Bruin, nor to the American sours.

[#3300][750 ml. bottle][Split with Kogymo][Procured from Delhaize][BBF 16/01/2019] Tried after the Hungarian one. Pours a hazy orange with a big creamy white head. Lactic and mineral nose, light oak, getting more vanilla oak sweetness in this one but it is still not very overt, slightly funky, brett, oranges, nice and interesting. Picking up some esters here which I didn’t get in the Hungarian one, more lactic and less minerals but the slightly salty minerals and rocks are still here, brett, minor funk, more vanilla, sweetness, touch sugary,, rounder, fuller, bit more balanced + way more citrus than the other 2, I like this one more compared to the Hungarian one, once again, interesting and surprising stuff. Carbonation is high here.
