Bière spéciale de fermentation haute et non filtrée, elle doit son goût particulier au sarrasin qui complète le malt d’orge dans sa recette originale. Ambrée et titrant 6,0% d’alcool, elle plaît aux amateurs de bières de caractère (souvent comparée au spéciales belges). Le sarrasin provient d’une culture à deux pas de la brasserie productrice (Heinerscheid, dans le nord luxembourgeois.)

Bottled. Copper/amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is very sour fruit with some hints of yeast and buckwheat. Flavour is sour berries. With yeast poured in the colour goes hazy nut brown, the flavour and aroma stays about the same, though the flavour gets smoother.

Bottle: Poured a brown jello/hazy color with a light white head. Bitter hoppy fruit aroma. Tangy fruit wine flavor that finished dry.

Bottle, 6.8%. Cloudy orange colour. Sweet flavour, a lot of caramel and some fruitiness. Strange, bud not bad. Reminds me of a veg/herb beer.

(33cl bottle, with thanks to Saarlander) Hazy, amber colour with a short, creamy off-white layer. Sweet toast-malty, orange-fruity and nutty aroma. Sugary sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Toast-malty, sourish fruity taste; sweetish malty and moderately sour finish.

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering: Hazy, orangey coloured, small white layer; strong honeyish, fruity and a bit grainy nose; sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; sweet-grainy finish with "a taste of honey". Well done........

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Muddy, orange to brown body. Aroma of oranges and other citrus. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavour. A lot of fruits (orange/grapefruit) in the flavour too.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark amber colour, unclear and opaque. Very small off-white head - almost absent. A scent of honey and yeast. Lots of malt, lots of brown sugar and yeast in the flavours. Maybe overly sweet but otherwise a lovely ale. 180705

Cloudy orange brown color, short white head. Aroma of caramel malts, bit spicy. Bit creamy, yoghurt like taste, caramel malty again. Nice brew.

An unclear orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of coriander, and oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of oranges and lemon, which gives it an acidity before a very dry end sets in. Thanks Marcusm for trading us this one.

Hazy orange, slim orange coloured head. Alcohol, fruit, preserved fruit, touch of sugar and some spices (nutmeg). Again very fruity taste, citrus and a cereal taste that is no doubt the buckwheat (OK, OK - buckwheat ain't a cereal, I know). Finish is slight spritzy acidic. Nice. Medium bodied and yet refreshing. Surprising variation on style - halfway between Belgian ale and witbier (well, more Belgian ale). Love it. Cornelyshaff is a great discovery. Kück elei!
