330ml bottle. Hazy colour of tarnished, dark brass with a copper glimmer, absurdely huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has autumnal notes, red apple, leaves, shrubs. Taste is dry, papery hoppy, minimally chalky, husky, grainy. No survival of even the fittest fruit flavours.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy dark amber colour thin white head. grapefruit aroma. Fruity hoppy finish. Clean malts. A little bit of yeast character. Grapefruit and a little mango in the mouth and then a more aggressive yellow grapefruit on the finish. Touch of tangerine. Interesting. Decent pale ale. Lots of citrus fruits.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 13 mai 2015, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20140315) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, earth and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, earth, caramel, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice pale ale with English hops.

33 cl. swing-top sampled @ La Capsule. BBF 13/05/2015. Hazy orange, white head. Smells herbal, sweet, brown sugar and slightly burned cookies from the oven, nose is interesting, enjoyable. Taste is sadly a bit dull, at least well-made & not-infected (which seems to by a way, way too often an issue with French specialty beer). Slightly grainy feel, sweet herbal, dull malts, touch brown sugar, faint medicine, very light bitterness, faint bark. I am torn between dull & well-made here but I have appreciate its qualities. It isn’t a bad beer to drink and seemingly succeed quite well at what it went for.
