From cask @ Borefts 2013. Yeah, it's from a cask alright. It's blurry kinda whisky golden in the glass and the bubbly transparent head is quickly gone. The nose has a little bit of sweetness combined with lots of grains. A good hoppiness and some yeasty hints also found here. Smells decent. Dead flat on the carbonation and light oily in the mouth. Hard to put in to words what I think of this one. It's an esb, but on steroids. -Really mouthdryibg in the finish and aftertaste. Quite bitter tail as well. 27.09.2013

Cask at Borefts ’13, 28/09/13. Lightly hazed amber with no head. Nose carries light hop notes, toasted malts, light caramel, bitter orange, grass. Taste comprises orange pith, sugars, light grapefruit, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff but expected more from Thornbridge on a 7.4% jobby!

28th September 2013
Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 2. Almost clear amber beer, no real head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Almost no carbonation. Mild spice and caramel. Light dried fruits. Finishes smooth. Tasty but hamstrung by the flatness.
