Herbal aroma of gruit, anise, nutmeg, you name it. Also malty notes and sweet ripe fruits. Flavour is sweet and a little boozy. I suppose this is well-brewed, but sweet mega-herbal beers are not really my thing.

Draught @ Borefts 2013. Dark amber color. Ginger, anis, and tangerine in the spicy aroma. Ripe fruit. Spicy malty sweet flavor with candied fruit and lots of spices. Not really my taste.

Muddy brown colour with quick fading head. Aroma is soapy and medicinal. Elements of cough drops, bay leaves. A veritable hotch potch of unpleasant herbs and spices that should not be used to make beer.

12/IV/15 - 33cl bottle from De Caigny (Essen) @ home - BB: 30/IX/16 (2015-435) Thanks to Beerlover_Ben for picking this one up for me!
Clear deep red to brown beer, small aery fine bubbled beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: some mint syrup, cola bottle candy, laurel, bay leafs. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very spicy, little sweet, bay leaf, very herbal, bit sourish, weird. Aftertaste: tooth paste, unpleasant bitterness, bit sugary, mint, sage and rosemary or thyme or something like that. Very bad, drain pour.

33 cl bottle @ Luppolo 12, Rome. Batch #3373: BBE 30.09.2016. Aroma has peppery spices and quite nothing else - perhaps verry juice. Flavour has berry juice, spicy tones and some ripe fruits with sweet malt. Also licorice. And grapefruit & orange after some sips. A bit too spicy for me but not bad anyway. Hides the ABV well. Christmasy, jägermeister is present here.

330ml bottle. Murky, copper-ish, dark brown colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Very nice and balanced, sweet-ish, herbal and minimally floral aroma, cola resemblance, not fully distinguishable hints of several of the ingredients listed. Taste is herbal with cautious bath salt character, dominating bergamot, dry and minimally tart, underlying sweetness, sustainable malt body. Rich, complex, and multifaceted - thereby well balanced - worthwhile remake of a traditional ale.

Bottle from Pazzeria, Milan
Dark amber color, hazy, with small head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruits, soap, herbs. Soft carbonation, but present; chaotic mix of caramel, anise, other spices, soap, liquorice; the bitterness feeling is lower than the expected 60 IBU, and the final is dry and short.
A mess.
