Bottle. Almost perfectly black, meium beige head, not so lasting. ild roasted nose, quite dusty. Gently sweet start, quite roasted to follow. A bit of coffee and mild bitterness. Gentle aftertaste.

Bottle picked up from a small mini market, Loutras, Kythnos, Greece and consumed on Asterion II, Anek Lines RoRo ferry en route from Igoumenitsa, Greece to Venice, Italy Friday 18th September 2020. Cannot tell the colour as drinking from my kleankanteen. Quite sweet from the off, honey, a little spice, but not much else to report, in fact if I didn't look at the bottle I would be unsure of the style. Ok.

This dunkel poured a deep, dark amber colour with a creamy tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include sweet caramel, a little coffee and Bovril. First swig was a little thin, with flavours of caramel, a little smoke and black coffee. Finish is a wee bit smokey with caramel flavours lingering.

26 September 2019. Bottle from a supermarket in Agia Pelagia, Crete. Balcony tasting in Pela Mare hotel. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy dark brown-black with a lasting, thin, frothy, tan head. Aroma of wet earth, dried tea leaves, toast, prune, coffee ground, caramel, chestnut. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, basically biscuity, toasty with a hint of honey, vague dark fruits underneath, slightly bitter. Develops something minerally with a salty rock-like effect. Dryish, soft earthy hoppy finish, lingering sourish dark fruit & toast. Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Too subtle all in all, could have been better.

0,33 l bottle from a supermarket on the greece island of Kos. A darkest red brown to nearly in the glass. Small beige head. Toasted malty smell. Taste starts malty, decent hop on the background. Low coffee and caramell. Wheat elements and also some sweetness and hints of citrus. Not bad.

Bottle from an Athens supermarket. Decent pour, offwhite head and a very dark ruby body. Odd aroma of tar and fake syrup, usually I like that kind of thing but here it comes across as unbalanced. Flavour is soft coffee, some brownie. Watery finish. Not particularily bad but I see potential here that hasn't been reached.
