330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours black with a thin tan head. A lot of pale floaters bobbing about. Aromas of chocolate, toffee. Taste is more of the same. Thin, sweet finish. One-dimensional.

75cl bottle from Racines, Cassel, brought to the 11th Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Feb 15. Pours a deep brown, almost black, with a tan head. With a name like ’Cocoa Fever’ I was expecting a lot more chocolate here than was present. In fact, not much at all. Quite a lot of roasted elements though but, although good that respect, is a bit disappointing in relation to the cocoa.

17th Feb 2015: shared 0.75 litre bottle (lot 390) at the Shrewsbury Bottle Swap. Black pour with a deep tanned head. Malts all the way, giving coffee, cocoa and chocolate aromas and flavours, the cocoa nips obviously help too! Fairly sweet overall, my sweet tooth liking the flavours immensely.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark brown to black color, medium sized lightly creamy beige head that lasts for quite a while and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is malts, sweetish, cocoa, a hint of iron, liquorice. Taste malts, dark malts, lightly cocoa, lightly bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Thought it would be more outspoken. A decent beer though.

Dark red-brown colour with lots of residue from the bottle hanging in suspension in the glass. Quite a strong aroma. Roasted malts, coffee, cocoa. Smooth texture. Flavour has some sweet cocoa, perhaps some vanilla too.
