05/12 On tap in some inn near Atletico Madrid stadium. Poured golden body with medium sized froth head. Grainy, corny and grass hop aroma. Flavor was sweet, corny with inferior hops. Medium bodied with long finish that showed some corn acidity. This is supposed to be their premium over cinco estrellas, well, both are pieces of crap.

33 cl. can @ home // received as part of 3 pale lagers from Spain // this one was labelled as being the one that is not quite as popular or as good, the not as good part is slightly alarming because while many people thought that the previous ones were really good beers, I really beg to differ, although first one was sort of drinkable / ok // mostly drunk ice-cold from the can because that is really the only way to drink these kinds of things // wow, I quite like the colour of this one, this crystal clear bright golden, looks like one of those children champagnes or apple based soda’s, head is very brief & I see a lot of bubbles rising // aroma is quite weird sweet apple juice mixed with cardboard & I would say a touch of sweaty socks, it is sewage sweet, apple, reminds me in no way whatsoever of beer or even pale lagers // taste is bizarre & bad, cough syrup, sewage water, corn, sweet, sweet malts, apples, cardboard, bitter, cold water, floral, industrial cider, quite a bit of white pepper // body is not necessary watery but it is more like you can actually taste water being the main ingredient, stale water coming from some industrial park, lots of carb. but it is all fading insanely fast // first thing that came to me whilst drinking is that this is a homeless man’s drink, it taste insanely cheap but the weird cheap substitutes, non-beer flavours make this more interesting to drink than a lot of pale lagers but there is no way to call this good or even to recommend it

Auch die Spanier haben ein Industriebier, das man als Strandbier bezeichnen kann: etwas spritzig, sehr leicht im Geschmack und lässt sich einfach trinken -aber ohne wirkliche Substanz dahinter.

Medium white head. Clear paleish yellow body with fast carbonation. Light mealy apple aroma with herbal earthy cardboard notes. Dry-sweet mealy empty taste with faint floral earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish peppery floral aftertaste with mealy notes. Not bad at all, especially aftertaste. (0.5l can, Europa Shopping Center, Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria.)

440 ml bottle, as Mahou Clásica Original, from Super Cor, La Manga. ABV is 4.8%. Golden colour, pearly carbonation, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, both malts and hops are noticeable, could be worse. Soft carbonation in the mouth. The flavour has also noticeable malts, the hops are moderate, but for a Spanish industrial lager this is not too bad at all.

330 ml can, from Super Cor, La Manga. ABV is 4.8%. Golden colour, low head. The aroma has some malts, otherwise it is "industrial" and uninteresting. The flavour is maltier than the Aliada Tipo Pilsen (which was displayed side by side), and there are some hops in the finish - unfortunately the bitterness is metallic and unpleasant.
