Large 750ml bottle at Cafe Coco, under Oxford Hotel, nr railway station,Oxford, with Loz 30.04.11 Pours gold with a white head, good clarity. Soft in the mouth, corny, touch of soft metallic taste going on. Sweet, easy drinking lager that is totally inoffensive. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

can, labelled El Corte Ingles Cerveza tradicional. The GTIN shows it’s been made by Mahou. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Slightly malty, grainy, hints of bread dough and some dusty hopy in the finish.

Sold in the stores of El Corte Ingles, where You can also get Mahou clasica. Can states clearly the beer is made by mahou. also "With the guarentee of mahou" whatever that means. Either this is a beer of its own, or it should be an alias of mahou clasica. Pale yellow, small fluffy white head. aroma:sweet, faint bitter hops, faint alc bitterness. flavor: sweet, caramelly, faint bitterness, very faint metallic note. I compared head to head, el corte ingles and mahou clasica. bought from the sae shelf in the same store, and tasted at the same teperature at the same time in two different glasses. The two beers are much the same. The el corte ingles beer is a little lighter yellow, it is a bit more bitter from alc, both in flavor and aroma. As the two cans were brewed on different dates, this could be the reason. The two cans 33cl are physically not the same as if they were fro two different botteling plants. The opener is square on the clasica, while it is round on the el corte. The imprint on the top is not the same too. the bottom part of the cans is different. For a discount lager, sort of a little vienna like, this one is fine-fine.

nice, surprisingly (for that kind of beer) strong aroma. a bit citrussy, which turns into cereral/spices which is a dissapointment. clear yellow, white head that starts real nice and soft, but soon goes away. sweet flavor, girlie beer. faint but not totally missing bitter aftertaste. sort of okay, but nothing much to write home about.

ar:rather strong but also relatively unpleasant aroma. clear yellow, small white head, flavor : sweet, metallic, weird bitterness.

Bottle. Clean pale lager with moderate sweetness. Not the most interesting beer, but not a catastrophe.

20th July 2010. Ice cold bottle in a London Tapas bar. Clear gold beer - good white head. Typical lager palate. Tastes alright when really cold - a little honey on the malt. As soon as it warms up - it gets that mass produced metallic tang. Still not hard to drink though!

Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: Canned version. This brew pours a clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Sweet cereal and malt aroma. Light body with sweet bready malt and mild hops flavors. The finish is short with a malty aftertaste. Overall this beer actually has a couple flavors in it but it is still boring.

Overall Impression: Had this one all over the place on a trip to Spain. There's a theme there, they drink light, watery, bland, but refreshing beers, and this one is no different.
