Bottle big thanks to Danny. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is earthy, toasty, wet paper, cardboard, light sweetness and dust. The taste is crisp, bitter, clean, toasty, mild sweetness, paper, grassy, icing sugar and spice with a short, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Forgettable.

Bottle split at the Bespin cloud network, thanks to Danny, 15/12/15. Clear golden amber with a moderate off White covering. Nose is pale malt, bready, light orange, hint of candy fruit. Taste comprises pale malt, light bread, citric peel, orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... A touch bland and directionless.

Malenka buteleczka i malenka pianka. Kolor jasny i klarowny. Slodowo wytrawny czuc tu brytyjskiego bittera ale jednak jest srednio. Jakos wszystko smakuje i pachnie bardzo ulotnie. Piwo nie pozostaweia zadnego posmaku na dluzej w ustach.

25 cl, best before 03/04/15. The beer starts malty-smooth, fresh. Hints of grain, slightly roasty, Nice bitter-malty in the aftertaste, quite dry with a pale bitter aroma.

Classic old-fashioned pale ale which Interbrew, now AB InBev made a Belgian version of (pale ales were very popular and influential in Belgian beer culture after World War I) but like the sweet stout, I have not seen this one in a while, not sure if they still make it today. It was a malt sweet, bit thin, amber coloured beer with some fruitiness, a metallic hint and a simple, straightforward character - but this type of beers were not intended with gastronomical ambitions and it served its purpose, like the slightly better Bass Pale Ale did.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Belgian version. Clear caramel amber color. Aroma of stale and dusty malt, caramel and a bit of bread. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, a bit of stale notes and a drier finish, slightly bitterish, with faint spicy notes and light metallic notes. Light to medium-bodied. Too sweet.
