Überaus fruchtiger Geruch, schon etwas zu süß in richtung Kirschmarmelade gehend. Auch im Antrunk fruchtig, hier aber wenigr stark als erwartet. Dabei auch trocken zimtig, was einen muffigen Störfaktor darstellt. Von nun an wässriger und deutlich weniger fruchtig, das störende Aroma ist abgeschwächt weiter vorhanden. Zum Ende bitterer. Nicht unbedingt spitze. 11/7/8/7//7

Tap at WOSF’10. Basement, vinegar, sweet/sour cherry aroma. Hazy ruby red color with no head. Sweet cherry up front followed by a tart vinegar finish. Light carbonation. Smooth and easy drinking.

Bloody colour. Woody, light vinegar aroma. Fresh, vibrant acidity. Woody. Well-balanced character, robust & vinous. A stellar example.

Slightly hazy deep red with no head. Fresh berry aroma, cherry and also a hint of blackcurrant. Dry and tart, lots of fresh sour cherry flavour, and a hint of wood.

Dark burgundy with no head. Sour aroma with cherries and almond notes. Flavor has sweet overripe cherries, almond, barnyardy and sour notes into the finish.

Draught@Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007. Pinkish red colour, not much head, only some bubbles. Aroma is sourness, slight cherry and lots of wood. The same goes for the flavour. Not much carbonation. A very pleasant thing.

Draught @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Unclear medium red color with virtually none head. Aroma is light cherry, fruity, light acidic. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

(For good understanding: this is the draught beer, not having had the final blending for refermentation on the bottle. It was however sweetened all the same...) Deep-dark Burgundy colour. No head. Almondy nose; sweet cherry drops, artificial. taste is better than the nose/ reminiscent of the cherry-stones. Strange, as he uses 'juice' (i.e. concentrated and then diluted fruitjuice), and still too sweet. Cloying mouthfeel; medium-bodied, no tartness. It wouldn't be bad without this artificial sweet cherryflavour. And that's exactly what it makes popular...
