Deep golden in color, BridgePort IPA has an assertive and fragrant hop character from the two full pounds of Cascade, Chinook, Goldings, Crystal and Ahtanum hops in every barrel. / (Our Original IPA) Over 20 years ago, our Original IPA set the standard for an American brewed IPA by using only the freshest Pacific Northwest ingredients available. That tradition continues today. We blend 5 hop varieties grown locally in the Willamette Valley to create a signature floral and citrus aroma. Bottle-conditioned to perfection, BridgePort IPA is exceptionally balanced with a soft round body and robust character.

Reviewed from notes. She pours a hazy golden color and leaves about the same colored body with a two and a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and falls, lacing is very clingy and has a thick foaminess. The aroma has big bold hops, floral yet piney, subtle sweet maltiness tries to linger forward as it warms, but mainly combines wonderfully. The taste has a nice super smooth bittersweetness all the way through into the aftertaste, as the caramel malts combine fantastically with the bitter hops, leaves a dry finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium, fairly sessionable, carbonation seems a bit under for an AIPA, but actually just makes this one better for the summer. Overall, in my opinion, this is a spectacular AIPA for the summer that I would have again.

Mild and dry, this isn’t as hoppy as a good portion of the NW IPAs. Pours a light amber with beautiful creamy head, lots of lacing. Subdued hoppy nose and taste is more hops, watery mouthfeel and short and dry finish.

Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, honey, caramel, touch of hops. Light bitter flavour, malts, light grapefruit. Bitter finish, honey, hops, malts and a hint of coffee. Feels like this one is somewhat aged, but unfortunately no bottling or Best Before date can be found on the bottle.
(From 66cL bottle shared @ decadent symmetry tasting, Wilrijk. With thanks to my friend Pasmans for bringing the bottle for me)

Courtesy of Martinus. Thx! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ decadent symmetry tasting. Possibly some age on this one, going by taste. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Nose is grapefruit, tangerine, bit mellowed with some caramel malts, light grass. Taste is grapefruit, very bitter herbs, slight chalk, grass, touch toffee, caramel malts,… Carb. is a bit less, still very enjoyable stuff.

What A Pleasant Surprise. Pulled a Bottle from a back of the fridge thinking it is one thing and it turned out to be something that I have not tried it yet. Deep Hazy Orange Color, Huge Head, Nice Lacing Sweet Orange and Pine Aroma. Sweet Orange, Pine, Hop Bitter Finish. Medium Body, High Carbonation. Easy to Drink and Enjoyable. Pretty Good. Recommended.

I’ve been avoiding rating this since so many bottle on the shelves . . . well just about everywhere store this wrong and it’s either difficult or impossible to tell how old it is until you open it. Well here’goes. 12oz bottle pours deep gold with copper hues and a bit of haze supporting a thin near white head. The modest aroma has spicy almost anise like hops mixing with some floral hops and faint malt sweetness. The taste is tame for an IPA with spicy and floral sort of seeming like noble hops that are both modestly bitter and modestly flavor. Behind the hops is a nearly clean mild sweet maltiness and almost a biscuit malt quality. Old school IPA that I do not plan to seek out again.
