Popular Austrian Hefeweizen, tasted many years ago, ABV was 5.4% then; rating from old notes. Straw blonde, cloudy beer under a creamy, yellowish white head, less ’lush’ than I am used to from its Bavarian brethren, but this may have to do with the bottle being a few years old already at the time. Aroma of bready malts, sourish wheat, cloves, baker’s yeast and a hint of banana; bready, yeasty taste, dryish with a sourish wheat effect, faint spiciness and a faint hint of herbal hops in the background, refreshing. Acceptable but I had many better (usually Bavarian) examples of the style.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, banana and hint of clove. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long fruity, banana, wheat and yeasty finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy

Pours a hazy golden color, topped with a decently sized and qute lasting white head. Fruity aroma (bananas), some spices and some not unpleasant wheaty notes. Taste starts on the sweet side, slightly fruity and whaty, finishing with a nice mild bitterness. A decent one.

Bottle from www.slijterijhetfust.nl poured a hazy deep yellow colour, with a huge white head. Aroma of wheat, spices and banana. Medium sweet, minimal carbonation once head had subsided. Light-medium body.
