Bottle. Moderate warmth, rich malty character, caramelly, chocolatey, rather sweet, but feels balanced, tasty, very good.

Bottle, bb march 2017. Brown copper color. Aroma of raisin, yeast, ester, caramel fudge and red fruit. Taste has raisin, malt, red fruit, caramel fudge, some yeast ester and a boozy fruity finish. Aging has made it more like port, just how I like an old barley wine.

Almost opaque dark red - amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is soft and a little viscous. Very fine carbonation. Berry fruits and cream caramel malts. Mild alcohol spice. Bitterish esters. Smooth finish. Rich and fairly interesting.

Bottle at home. 2015 vintage. Aroma is malt, caramel, sweet dried fruits, raisins, touch of liquorice, a little boozy. Flavour is sweet. Body is medium, a bit sticky. Very sweet but still a decent Barley Wine.

Rötlichbraune Farbe, geringe beige Schaumkrone. Geruch nach sehr reifen Früchten, holzig, Vanille, Bourbon. Geschmack nach sehr reifen roten Beeren, Dörrobst, Vanille, Holz, alkoholisch.

30cl Bottle from Benzai, thanks! Dark reddish brown colour, thin creamy beige head. Aroma is quite sweet and sticky, raisins, currants, liquorice, some laurel, madeira wine, liquid brown sugar, toffee. Flavour is sweet, oxidized, raisins, madeira, toffee, liquorice, alcohol finish. Medium-bodied, flat. Already a bit too old I guess. Good though.

Black brown colour, no real head. Malty aroma, caramel, chocolate and soy sauce. Light sweet flavour, soy sauce, caramel, honey, light madeira. Finish madeira, malts and honey.
