Very strange brew made especially for the Zythos Bierfestival of 2011, a kind of ’tarwetripel’ with a dense, snow white, sticky, creamy head and cloudy yellow colour with somewhat greenish hue. Tart and very unusual aroma of lemon juice, sour yoghurt, melon, mango, wheat, vanilla, dill seed...? Smooth palate with explicit citrus acidity, utterly refreshing, sweetish bready malts and sourish wheat in the background, yeasty spiciness, light on the tongue, strange sour sweet finish, dryish. I had no idea what to think of this but finally came to the conclusion that this is not just the weirdest, but one of the most interesting beers I ever had from this brewery. Too bad this wasn’t bottled, I’m sure it could have become a hit among sour beer enthusiasts.

draft@ZBF 2011 (you are not going to find it anywhere else, probably): my favourite beer there, brewn without hops, souring bacteria & cider yeast, it was, sweet&sour with tart/sour taste upfront, lambic like followed by a sweet, cider-like finish with lots of fruit including white grapes, lemon & apricot, had the tinniest hint of salt, special but absolutely amazing & extremely drinkable

[3/6/11] Draught at ZBF 2011. Cloudy yellow. Fruity aroma with some yeast and some acidity. Sourish fruity flavor with a sour candy touch and a lactic touch. Medium-bodied. Tasty and easy-drinking.

Draught Fast gone yellowish head over unclear, pineapplejuice-coloured beer. Sour, lactic, bit yeasty, sourdough especially. Outspoken lactic acid, sour apples, sour oranges or minneolas. Very dry, dry-out effect, furiously refreshing. Very surprising beer. Even to a sourbeer lover as myself, the first confrontation was a bit of a shock, but from there, it only got better and better.
