Draught @ Bateau de Nuit, Québec. Pours very dark brown with small tan head. Dark aroma of roasted malt, raisins, caramel and coffee. Seeet flavour of maæt and fruit, with roasty and coffeelike notes and touches of hops and yeast. Roasty, bitter aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol presence. Good. Very good.

Bottle at Roundhouse (pre Penang trip). Dark flat black pour with very minimal head and little carbonation. Uh oh. Aroma is deep roasted chocolate malt with a tiny bit of soy. Not as raisiny as it looks. Taste is very chocolatey, roasted, some bitterness, boozy sticky finish with a lasting warm bitterness. Palate too flat for me. Wouldn't get again.

Purchased in a local IGA. Pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any red highlights. Creamy mocha-beige head, good retention and a rich creamy lace all-around. Hoppy roasted malt aromas giving out notes of chocolate, coffee, grass and earth. Wow.. the mouthfeel is pretty thin. Quite hoppy for an impy stout with lots of weird grass showing. Yes, every sip has this very different, almost rusty taste to the start. Thankfully some roasted malt lingers. Still, would not have this again.

341 mml bottle tasted on 02/06/2014. Opaque black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Intense dry and bitter aftertaste with predominance of the coffee. The problem for me is the low carbonation of the beer. Next one please!

Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Aroma of milky chocolate notes, roasty malts, coffee and hints of ripe fruits. Taste is roasty, sweet and chocolatey with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Finish is sweetish and roasty with notes of vanilla, licorice, dark chocolate and ripe fruits. Quite well balanced imperial stout.

34,1 cl bottle @ home
Aroma is malty with strong mocha notes, vanilla and cocoa. Flavour has salty licorice, woody notes, tobacco, coffee notes, vanilla, honey and ash. Palate is slightly too high on CO2. Just delicious.

Tasted in November 2011. Aroma: Bourbon, coffee, chocolate and roasted notes. Appearance: Black with thin creamy brown head, lasting quite long and sticking to glass leaving a nice lacing. Taste: Attack is coffee and chocolate with a slightly acid backing. Roast bitterness is kind of long lasting but well dosed and not unpleasant. Acceptable stout with a smooth smoke and coffee bitterness.
