Etwas süß, leicht künstlich, wässrig. Hier ist das Lambic eher langweilig, die SÜße verschwindet nach und nach, eine säuerliche Note wird unter der verbleibenden Fruchtigkeit nur angedeutet. Test vom 12.3.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: -,8,8,8,-,8 - 8,00

On tap at ZBF 08. Vermillion colour with a slight haze. From the cask. Lovely pippy raspberry. In fact one of my favourite beers of the day. Sweet, sour, juicy and dry all in one go. Far better than the Kriekenlambik in my opinion.

Hazy red/pinkish flat body. No head whatsoever. Sweet winey aroma of raspberry with some vanilla. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter flavour. OK balance. Very nice and smoothly.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm 28 Apr) Colour is red, I’d probably call it raspberry red, hazy. Nose is, well, kind of strange (after reading sayravais’s notes, with a recognizing smile, I must agree he has a point, but I din’t find it all that bad). Slight notes of rotten eggs and fresh manure are evident (one of my friends thought it was more like what you find in used diapers, while another didn’t find anything suspicious at all), but, however, with an underlying acidic and harsh raspberry character, like mashed, unsweetened raspberries. Taste is (a lot better than the smell) acidic and harsh with the same character of mashed, unsweetened raspberries. Very dry finish. Nice balance (in the taste that is). Tried it in 2005 as well, but that was absolutely brilliant, a completely different brew. So I would probably have to rerate this sometime.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear red, slightly hazy. Fresh raspberry aroma. CItric and intense with balanced acidity and concentrated raspberry flavour. Complex, yet refreshing. Probably the best beer made with raspberries.

(Draught - of course) Spectacular carmine-red beer, slightly hazy; very rozy head. Superb noes of fruit or raspberry coulis. Taste is fruit, fruit and more fruit - raspberry as never before. Quite sweet but pure fruit-sweetness. (Fruit)acidity comes after a few sips. it is quite well-bodied - surprising. One asks how much fruit is used here? The beer is made from old lambic only, plus a slight cherry addition for the colour. Unique - rush at it if ever you come across.
