At ZBF 15. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours clear pink. Smell is herbal, raspberry. Taste is rather sweet, with a sour hint. Nice raspberry aspect. I way prefer this over the ’regular’ version.

The ’raw material’ of Boon Framboise, shared by Ulrich Kremer (better known as ’Uli’) at some Zythos Bierfestival in Sint-Niklaas many years ago, cheers my friend. Flat fruit lambic and therefore foamless, intense pinkish red colour, ’mellow’ lambic character with all the typical aromas of hay, sherry, horseblanket, copiously soaked in rich raspberry aroma and impressions of tomato and rhubarb. Very interesting fruit lambic especially since raspberry lambics in the pure and authentic sense of the word are a rarity.

Hazy orange-red with no head. Lots of fresh raspberry in the aroma with a faint hint of funk. Dry and slightly tart raspberry dominated flavour. Great flavour but one-dimensional character

Zythos Bierfestival 2012, Leuven, Belgium. Pours deep reddish rose with firm pink creamy foam head. The aroma is rich vibrant raspberry fruit goodness with tons of raspberry aromatic nuances. I mean I can smell the raspberry meat, the skin, the juice and the seeds. Wow. The taste is similar with wonderful raspberry fruit that is fresh, crisp and real and it picks up only modest raspberry tartness. Rounded smooth rich and balanced. Awesome!

Dark raspberry red colour, very small pink head. Fruity aroma, lots of raspberries, raspberry pips and raspberry jam. Light sweet. Tart raspberry flavour, light citrus acid, quite sweet, but in a natural way. Finish raspberry.
Light on the lambic aromas, but oh, what a lovely raspberries!

Cask @ ZBF 2012 // dark raspberry coloured with a small pink raspberry head // smells like raspberry jam // tastes like slightly sweet (natural fruit sweetness) mashed raspberries, especially the pits of the raspberries, small hint of lemon juice / acid in the back but the smallest hint, not much tartness in here, feels a bit like drinking mashed raspberries (not quite as thick as a smoothie) but flat in a good way, still miss bit of the pungent character of a lambic in this

Cask @ ZBF’12.
