Clear pinkish red colour, small pinkish white head. Aroma of raspberry candy, candy cane and a hint of funk. Sweet candy flavour, undiluted sweet raspberry syrup. Light sour touch. Bit thin body. Finish raspberry syrup and raspberry candy with some lingering sour apple.

Pours ruby red into pilsener glass, minimal head. Sweet. You taste the raspberry and not the beer. This is a good summertime drink, and very refreshing. A little lingering sweetness on the palate at the finish.

Bottle on the Autobahn en route to Cologne. Reddish appearance with a pink head. Tangy, raspberry, fruity, berry, soda nose. Well carbonated, a bit syrupy, raspberry/dark berry, soda-like flavor. Not very tart but somewhat refreshing.

Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting. It pours cloudy pink-purple, with a thin light pink head. The nose is sweet, artificial strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant - quite a bit like a Fab ice-lolly. The taste is tangy, sweet strawberry, blackcurrant, foamy Pick n Mix sweets, candyfloss, lime and bubblegum. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not actually as horrific as it sounds. The underlying tanginess really saves this one.

Bottle at the hotel in Berlin. Pours clear red with a pink foam head. Cranberry aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor with some alright cranberry tartness. Light bodied with fine, fizzy carbonation. Mild tart finish with more cranberry. Not overly artificial, like some of the other Kindl Weisse beers. Perhaps the least offensive from this range. (2.8)
