Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is candy sugar, ginger, pepper and farmyard. The taste is hay, straw, pear, melon, lots of spice, herbal, farmyard, alcohol warmth and residual sweetness, with a long, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok, but I am not a lover of this style.

Bottle at the CBC Tune-Up, London. Pours cloudy yellow with a frothy, white head. Sugary, doughy, lightly dank malt nose. Very nice flavor, very sweet, some what boozy, lightly spicy. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild warm finish, lightly boozy, plenty of rich dough, faint caramel, faint yeasty spice. Lasting warmth. Heavy-handed, but nice.

WHAT?? A gusher from fanø?? okay,no of course, just joking.... clear yellow, small smooth white head.mild flowery and fruity aroma, faint citrus, sweet fruity notes and a little bitterness.. quite mild for an abbey tripel, very clean and un-spicy. Flavor is first yellow fruity sweet, then comes some yeasty bitterness, alc. adds a spicy touch, again the usual very spicy belgian yeasty note is very downplayed if there at all. Bitter and sweet brew, not as "wild" as many belgians, a bit more "clean" I get a little bored with the sweet and bitter thing, i miss some yeasty distractions. However, no doubt this is real craftmanship.

On tap. Hazy golden with a small, creamy off-white head. Sweet and spicy yeast aroma. Quite rich and full-bodied, sweet and fruity with a lightly spicy edge - not sure if thhere’s any spices added or it’s a yeast thing. Very delicate. 070412

Very dense & fine white head, over finely, well-carbonated veiled yellow beer. Vegetable nose, including cooked vegetables; and band-aid, mint-like. And then, the horrible herb, sorry, coriander. Yeasty, spicy flavour, dough and dried herbs. And coriander. Alcoholdryness dominating the finish. Very slick, yeastslickness, even sticky. Not (WM)tripel-dry. Spicyness augments warming up. Not my idea of a bright light.

50cl bottle shared by Joes. Very hazy pale yellow color, big white head that disappears pretty quickly into a small lacing. Smell a lot of yeast, malts, herbs. Taste malts, oatmeal, herbs, light to medium sweet-bitter. Low to medium carbonation, low to medium body.

Draft @ ACBF 2012: light clear yellow with a creamy white head, smell is yeast, fruity, white grapes hops, touch spices, taste is slightly bitter yeast upfront, hint banana, white grapes hops, sweet, touch sugar leading into a citrus hops finish, hint herbal in the back, medium bodied, not very memorable but not necessarily bad
